USB and USB Executive Development (USB-ED), have partnered in order to provide our valued MBA and EDP alumni with the opportunity to register for the selection of MBA elective modules presented during the 2018 MBA “Electives week” from 19-24 November 2018.

For a comparatively small fee, as an MBA or EDP alumnus, you now have the enviable opportunity to attend MBA elective(s) of your choice on campus with the current MBA students, subject to capacity. You will be able to leverage and learn from all the class participation; stimulation and networking opportunities afforded the current MBA students – but without the accompanying time consuming, formal assessment.

FAQ’s

What do the fees include?
Fees are inclusive of VAT and prescribed text book, where applicable.

Who can register?
Registration is limited to MBA and EDP alumni only.

How many electives are there to choose from?
There are 16 electives to choose from, presented across two streams (see table below)

How many electives can one register for?
Delegates are invited to register for a maximum of two electives; should delegates register for two electives*, each must fall within a separate stream (see table below).
* Delegates registering for two electives will qualify for a bundle discount of R2,500 off the total combined fees

Will there be assignments / assessments?
No, there are no assessments for Alumni however there will be reference made to the current MBA students’ assessments. As this is part of the current MBA curriculum, full participation from alumni delegates is required.

Are text books compulsory?
Prescribed text books are included in the fees; they are compulsory and necessary for the purposes of pre-reading; applicable text books will be couriered to each delegate by latest 5 November

Will there be prep work and pre-reading in advance?
Yes. While there is no formal assessment, prep work and pre-reading is compulsory for alumni delegates in order to gain full value from the module and to enable confident participation amongst the MBA students. All required prep work will be timeously communicated in advance.

Are the electives certificated?
Yes, on completion delegates will receive a USB\USB-Ed certificate of attendance

How can one register?
Registration will open 1st week of September and close on 28 September 2018.
Seats are limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served-basis
